Keeping London moving, while improving

The Jubilee Line extension was one the largest engineering projects the London Underground has ever seen, and Coral Communications was proud to be part of it — helping to keep its existing stations open, while upgrading the line with new fibre cabling and an upgraded telecoms system.

Key activities

  • Network cabling, CDN Fibre upgrade
  • Migration of Virtual Matrix System / Analogue CAM on VMS
  • Modify & install new IP VSS cameras
  • Commission & set up of CAM
  • Handover MAID / MCR process

A collaborative approach

Our specialist team worked with Telent’s project engineers to plan the decommissioning of the line’s old cabling system and the installation and migration of the new one, creating a faster and more efficient telecommunications system.

Travelling safer

With the installation of new IP video surveillance CCTV and upgraded communications systems, we ensured passengers across the line would have a safer and more seamless journey to their destination. But this also meant a more reliable, cost-effective and scalable solution for our client.
